フィリピンの不動産開発大手ダブルドラゴン・コーポレーション(エドガー・シア会長兼最高経営責任者)は、倶知安町内にホテル新築を計画している。自社が持つ「ホテル101」ブランドとする予定で、同国外での建設は初となる。

　6月30日、開発の意向を公表した。子会社のＤＤＰＣワールドワイドとホテル101ワールドワイドが、用地9000m²を取得済み。

　新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の収束を見据え、フィリピンなどからの訪日外国人客を取り込みたい考え。日本国内の開発事業者との連携も視野に入れる。

　ホテル101は、ダブルドラゴン・コーポレーションが展開する中間層をターゲットにしたホテルコンドミニアム。マニラで開業しているほか、フィリピン国内の複数箇所で建設計画がある。

Philippine Real Estate Development Giant to Build Hotel 101 in Kutchan

Philippine real estate development giant Double Dragon Corporation (chairman and CEO: Edgar Sia) is planning to build a new hotel in Kutchan Town. This is the first time the company’s Hotel 101 brand will be built outside the Philippines.

The company announced its development intentions on June 30. Its subsidiaries DDPC Worldwide Pte. Ltd. and Hotel 101 Worldwide Pte. Ltd. have already acquired 9,000 m2 of land.

In anticipation of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company hopes to attract foreign visitors to Japan from the Philippines and other countries. It is also looking to collaborate with developers in Japan.

Hotel 101 is a hotel condominium developed by Double Dragon Corporation targeting a middle-class clientele. In addition to the Hotel 101 already in operation in Manila, there are plans for construction in several locations in the Philippines.
